JUNIOR OPEN WATER DIVER

If your child is 10 or older and has shown interest in diving, then he is ready to take his first diving certificate and become a Junior Open Water Diver.

This is an entry level diver certification that is recognized world-wide. A Jnr. Open Water Diver may only dive with a PADI Professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 12m/40ft for juniors between 10 years old and 12 years old, and up to 18m/60ft for juniors 13+ years old.

The certification automatically upgrades on the 15th birthday which then can apply to for an adult certification.

It is, in fact, the same course that the adults take. It features the same theory, same knowledge and skill requirements.
