NIGHT DIVER
Although you’ve seen this dive site many times before, but at night you drop into a whole new world and watch it come to life under the glow of your dive light.
The scene changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal organisms emerge. If you’ve wondered what happens underwater after the sun goes down.
The techniques you will learn in this course will awake your curiosity and excitement; chances are, before the dive ends you’ll be blown away by our night diving experience, and ready for your next adventure!
Take This Course if you want to
- See familiar dives sites in a new light
- Try something new and exciting
- Avoid getting lost in the dark
- Live the night adventure
- Be at least 12 years old
- Be at least a certified Open Water Diver / Junior Open Water Diver
- Last dive not more than 6 months ago, otherwise a Refresher / ReActivate course is required.
- Medically fit to dive, for safety, all participants must complete a brief medical prior to commencing the dive. If none of the listed conditions apply, you sign the form and you’re ready to start. If any of them apply to you, as a safety precaution, a physician must assess the condition as it relates to diving and sign a medical form that confirms that you’re fit to dive, dated within the last 12 months. THEORY
Digital / eLearning OR Traditional Classroom and Book:
During this program, you will learn
- Night dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques and potential problems.
- How to control your buoyancy at night.
- Entries, exits and underwater navigation at night.
- Learn communication and light handling.
- Learn about dive lights and night diving equipment.
- Learn about nocturnal aquatic life.
- Nocturnal aquatic life, since many of the plants and animals you’ll see are different.
Average eLearning / Book Reading time: 2-4 hours
For Traditional Classroom/Book option – Successful Classroom Time: 1 hour for 1 day
